Wilsons Auctions Staff Take on the Belfast Marathon

On bank holiday Monday, 2nd May, Wilsons Auctions staff will run in the Belfast Marathon relay alongside staff who will be running the full 26.2 miles

Eight employees from Wilsons Auctions will join the other 17,500 expected participants to run the 26.2 miles in aid of SADs and Autism NI. The relay team will start off at the City Hall, and pass their chip over at the designated change over points; Bridge End, Hillview Road, Gideon's Green and Corporation Street.

Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), is a charity responsible for raising awareness of sudden death in young people and children. They support those people or families dealing with SADS and concentrate on the medical conditions responsible for a sudden unexpected death. The money raised by our runners will be used to buy a defibrillator for a local sports association. As well as this, Wilsons Auctions will match the total money raised to purchase a defibrillator for the Wilsons Auctions premises. If you wish to make a donation to our relay runners please call into our Mallusk branch and ask for Graham Fergus.

Along with our relay team, one of our staff members taking on the challenge of the full 26.2 miles will be raising money for his chosen charity, Autism NI. Autism NI have a range of services centering on supporting parents/carers of newly diagnosed children as well as support to families who have been living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for longer periods. If you wish to make a donation to Autism NI please donate on Aidan's justgiving page.

We wish all our employees and everyone else taking part, the best of luck!
