The Unicorn restaurant contents going under the hammer

Wilsons Auctions to manage the unreserved sale of the longstanding Dublin restaurant’s contents!

Wilsons Auctions, Ireland and the UK’s largest independent auction company, has received instruction to manage the unreserved online auction of the contents of one of Dublin’s longstanding restaurants, The Unicorn.

The timed online auction will start at 1pm on Friday 2nd April and will run for four days, timing out at 1pm on Tuesday 6th April.

The popular restaurant, operated in Merrion Row since 1938 and was seen as Dublin’s favourite Italian establishment, will see all areas of its contents go under the hammer from dining tables, chairs and large benches to kitchen equipment, décor and soft furnishings.

Ahead of hospitality re-opening and with a focus on outside dining, items that will be of particular interest to potential buyers include three recently installed large automated awnings, windbreaks plus a 6m x 3m custom-made tent as well as outdoor patio heaters, large flowers pots and more.

Lots will include a large selection of table and chairs, cutlery, glasses, cups, fridges and freezers, various ovens, fryers and kitchen counters. Other Lots will include a sound system, room divider as well as extra-large mirrors, curtains, cushions, pictures and paintings, large barrels and outdoor electric awnings.

Shanta Lawlor, Corporate Services at Wilsons Auctions said, “We are delighted to have been instructed, as a tried and trusted auctioneer, to manage the auction of The Unicorn restaurant’s contents. The auction will feature all aspects of the legendary establishment’s contents from the dining area and kitchen, right through to its outdoor terrace and will be an opportunity for anyone within the hospitality industry wanting to invest in equipment ahead of restrictions easing.
