Seized Patek Philippe Nautilus: The First Time Ever to be Offered At Auction Unreserved
This instance marks only the third time the Patek Phillippe Nautilus 5711/1300A has been made available on the open market, and possibly the first time ever this rare model will be offered to bidders completely unreserved.
The watch will be available at Wilsons Auctions this August as a highlight in their Online Luxury Auction.
The 5711/1300A was released in April 2021 to great surprise and acclaim as a final send off for the 5711. Boasting a stunning dial in an olive tone and adorned with 32 flawless top Wesselton baguette diamonds, it was in production for one year only to mark the end of an era for a truly iconic and important watch in the history of Patek.
It is reported to be the most exclusive of all modern Nautilus’, only ever exclusively distributed to VIP and VVIP Patek clients, Sylvester Stallone famously described how difficult it was to acquire his.

Seized and forfeited following an investigation by a law enforcement agency, UK auction house Wilsons Auctions offers bidders a chance to own this iconic timepiece at a price of their choosing as it will be sold to the highest bidder. The proceeds of sale will be reinvested by the government into public services and community initiatives.
Featuring a distinctive octagonal bezel with softened angles accentuated by a row of 32 internally flawless Top Wesselton baguette-cut diamonds (approx. 3.79 cts), it comes complete with Patek Philippe box and paperwork dated August 2021and is believed to be in unworn condition, showing minimal signs of any contact.
A 40mm x 38mm stainless steel case surrounds a dial designed in horizontally embossed sunburst olive-green and gold applied hour markers with luminescent coating. It is finished on a stainless-steel bracelet with a fold-over clasp. The model was only in production for a short period of time and was considered a “victory lap” for the 5711 model, which has now been discontinued. This has led to a significant interest and increase in prices on the secondary market.
The Nautilus will be sold at auction with no reserve. Interested investors and collectors should understand that this will allow the highest bidder on the day of the auction will buy it outright. To have a watch of this status and value be sold unreserved, could work out as an incredible investment for the winning bidder, making it an opportunity not to be missed.
