Clocktower Community Party supported by Wilsons Auctions

On Saturday 4th June, it was time for ‘Operation Street Party’ hosted at Wilsons Auctions’ Shotton Steelworks site, Deeside north Wales. Wilsons Auctions were proud to host the party to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and the Deeside community.

There was plenty of 'hustle and bustle’, with fun for all the family throughout the day. Popular features included workshops, local stalls, arts and crafts, kids’ entertainment, John Summers Clocktower tours, as well as live music, festive food and bars. The Clocktower tours highlighted the ongoing renovation works on the building, aiming to bring it back to its former glory, and provide a valuable hub for community events.

A wonderful light show was displayed for the local community of Deeside. The Clock Tower site was open to the public of all ages and accessibility.

Speaking of the event, David Williams, Operations Manager at Wilsons Auctions said, ‘It was a really great day for the local area, and it was even better to see how well it was supported – both with the nearby residents and by local businesses. A huge well done to everyone at the Enbarr Foundation for organising a great event. Safe to say, everyone of all ages enjoyed themselves!’

Peter Johnston, Operations Director at Wilsons Auctions commented, ‘We were delighted to host the street party at our Shotton Steelworks site. We are a family-owned business and we very much value the local community in all regions in which we operate. We enjoy supporting family events like this and look forward to hosting similar in the future.’
