Wilsons Auctions supports Durham Young Farmer Club Rally

Wilsons Auctions proudly sponsored the Durham Young Farmers Club Rally held on Saturday 20th May.

Butsfield Young Farmers Club hosted the rally at East Broomshiels Farm, under the care of the Harrison family. The event showcased a diverse range of activities throughout the day including sheep shearing, tractor handling, floral art, sports races, tug of war and many other engaging events.

Young Farmers Clubs provide opportunities for young people interested in agriculture and rural life to come together and participate in various activities and programs. Young Farmers Clubs are community-based organisations that aim to develop the skills, knowledge and leadership abilities of young individuals involved in farming or with an interest in agriculture.

Catherine Swinbank from Broomshiels Farm commented, “By Wilsons Auctions sponsoring this remarkable event, it significantly contributes to the growth and development of young farmers, enabling them to develop meaningful connections and gain invaluable experiences within the farming community.”

“Well done to Butsfield who ended at the top of the leader board! A great end to a wonderful day.”
